As we already know, Microsoft Releases Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25284 where there are a number of improvements and new features include widgets new to this version, but apart from that, there is one known issue that is enough to bother insiders, especially if the insider relies on a VPN network.
Yep, in the official changelog, Microsoft has confirmed this VPN problem, where users may encounter connection problems if they try to browse or access anything with VPN access in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25284.
But incidentally, in forum page Microsoft, there are temporary fixes that users can take if the user encounters this problem, and here WinPoin summarizes the short steps.
Step 1. First, please open Edit group policies.
Step 2. Then please navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > network > DNS Client.
Step 3. Search Configure NetBIOS settings then you edit the configuration to be enabled.
Then on the part Configure NetBIOS settingsplease change it to Allow NetBIOS name resolution and then click OK.
Step 4. Next search Turn off multicast name resolutionthen you change the setting to disabled and Click OK again.
When finished, please close Edit group policies and please restart your Windows 11. With the steps above, it is claimed that the problem can be resolved, but of course it’s better for us to wait for an official fix from Microsoft which will probably be released soon via Known Issues Rollback or released in a new update build next week.
Please try it guys, I hope you can avoid this bug, oh yes, if you don’t use a VPN, then of course you should be safe.
