According to user @XenoPanther on Twitter, Microsoft seems to be currently testing and considering presenting a new option in File Explorer, where it is possible that later the file explorer will display recommended content.

As in the image above, you can see there is a new option in options folderwhere in section privacy, besides existing options, you can see there is an option show recommended content which the user can activate manually.

Although there is still no additional information regarding this feature, what content will it recommend?, will it push ads? considering that Microsoft is currently trying to send a number of recommendations and advertisements from its various services in Windows 11 including OneDrive and Microsoft Edge.

In addition, the idea of Windows 11 displaying recommended content sounds quite strange in my opinion, because we don’t know what will be recommended, whether the content will be in accordance with user habits, or if it was given randomly by Microsoft.

For those of you who want to see and display this option, user @PhantomOfEarth on Twitter has provided instructions for activating it using vivetool, it’s just that in Windows 11 Insider Dev Build 25272, it seems that this feature cannot be forced to be activated.

So what do you think? Comment below guys and give your opinion.
