How to Backup and Restore Microsoft PowerToys Settings

PowerToys since last October have been rumored to be getting the ability to Backup Settings and Hosts Editor Toolswhich was finally officially introduced in PowerToys 0.64.0. Step 1. First, make sure you are using Microsoft PowerToys 0.64.0 or later.

Step 2. In the PowerToys application > General > please scroll down and find the option Backup & restore.

Now to do a backup, you just click on the button backups, where then the backup file will be stored by default in the C:UsersuserkamuDocumentsPowerToysBackup folder.

Now, you can save the file on a flash drive or on other media for you to restore on your other devices, if you want to make PowerToys settings on your other devices have the same settings as the ones you previously backed up.
